At a minimum, all NDTC classes require proof of current rabies vaccination for dogs aged six months or older. Some of our classes are offered as drop-ins and these are $10 to attend a single class. All of our teachers are volunteer members of the club who have proven themselves to be excellent dog and handler trainers. When you complete the course, youll emerge as a trusted Accredited Dog Trainer specializing in dog behavior and learning theory. This helps us cover the cost of our building and utilities. As a Pet Smart Pet Trainer, youll take part in our Pet Training Instructor Accreditation Program to learn proven techniques developed by leading dog trainers. Most of our sessions are 6 weeks long and effective January 1, 2023, will cost $170.00. Classes meet for 6 weeks, 1 day per week and typically fill very quickly. Our class sizes are generally between 4-10 students learning together under the supervision of 1-3 instructors to ensure everyone can get the individual attention they need. If your dog is overly aggressive and disruptive our teacher may ask you to leave class and then work with you individually on a plan to address that issue. We do not allow bitches in season (in heat) in the building at any time. We do not restrict classes based on breed or size. Joining the membership is a separate process.
